“Art by Catherine Bozzano” By Adeline Dewey
October 12, 2021
You can express creativity in many ways:
dance, music, writing, and art. I had the oppor-
tunity to speak with Catherine Bozzano who
expresses her creativity in the form of painting.
Catherine has been painting since the age of three.
Her biggest inspiration during this time was her
grandma, who was also a painter and helped her along the way. Painting was always a fun activity she would do with her grandma whenever they visited. Her grandma was a very big Bob Ross fan.
Catherine got the idea of this painting from Bob Ross. The painting took a little over eight hours to complete. She used oil paints, which take a long time to dry and are difficult when trying to put on a second layer.
Throughout the eight hours of work, Catherine learned the importance of patience. There were many times when she wanted to give up, but she persevered. She finds this painting a huge accomplishment; she even used her right hand as a left-handed person for the mountain ridges. Catherine worked hard on this painting, and it shows.
